What to do during quarantine

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we're all bored at home socially distancing. You've got nothing to do and your screen time has skyrocketed by...a lot. Naturally, you've been feeling less and less productive each and every day.

But there are so many things you can be doing right now, right here. So many, more than you could realize in your state or boredom.

Keep reading to open a whole new world of possibilities for what you could be doing right now!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Read that book you always wanted to read but never got the chance!

Reading has so many benefits. It reduces stress, grants you a wider vocabulary, and lets you escape to a new place. In fact, I give you permission to go onto Amazon and order that book! You deserve it, and so does your brain.

2. Learn how to create art.

That artist inside you is DYING to get a chance to be free - and no, you don't have to have those fancy art supplies to create a masterpiece. A pencil and some printer paper should suffice. Draw a still life of the tangerines you've been binging on in hopes to ward off viruses! Draw a self portrait, a flower, a bird's-eye view of your room- a worm's eye view, just draw something to free your inner artist.

3. Take a walk in the park!

Look, just because you're social distancing doesn't mean you can't go outside. In fact, going outside may be beneficial for your mental health stuck inside - and you should care for that as much as you do your physical health, which also is greatly benefited by this. It's a win-win situation! Go treat yourself to that run, or that bike ride, or whatever it is you need to do to feel good mentally and physically.

4. Schedule a Zoom, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, or anything to meet up with friends.

Just because you're socially distancing at the moment doesn't mean you can't socialize. Take advantage of the wonderful technology we have to catch up, even if you can't be there in real life.

5. Write your experiences in a journal.

Writing in a journal has many benefits, especially to your mental health. Now, I'm no mental health expert, but I do know for sure that writing down things that I feel guilty, sad, angry, or any kind of negative emotion about does help with how I feel by a great deal. So of course this would apply to the current situation the world is in. Writing down these experiences may also help for you to read about and perhaps people who are writing down history in the future.

6. Treat yourself to that spa day you've been dreaming about for the past several months.

This also applies to guys, before you ask. There's nothing wrong with pampering yourself and doing things for YOU once in a while. Soak your feet! Face mask, treat your skin well and all of that stuff. Alternatively, if you're not one to do that sort of thing, just relax for a day. You deserve it!

So what are you waiting for? Go make yourself happy! (Unless you dislike one of the said activities. Then I can't really help from there.)

Happy Quarantining!

Chicken Nugget Pros and Cons

Chick Fil A’s biggest con is that it’s fried in peanut oil, meaning anyone with a peanut allergy can’t have it.

McDonalds biggest con is the chicken byproduct.

But actually since McDonalds has a thinner crust, it is more likely to become soggy than ChickFilA.

Homemade is the best option and the best marinade to marinate the chicken in is usually a buttermilk mixture.

Cane’s has the best cooked chicken, however they don’t season it at all, and some people don’t like the sauce they provide so it’s very bland at times and I recommend bringing a packet of salt.

Wendy’s is good, made out of 100% white meat and has a higher protein/fat ratio but is slightly softer than other meats.

But Wendy’s nuggets soft texture probably means it’s the juiciest and it’s also pretty crispy
