How To Survive A Zombie Apocalypse... Or COVID-19

Warren was quite a well-rounded man. He had a large fortune to his name, was quite intelligent, and often called the father of Advanced Mechanic Vaccines, or AMV's. After the ZOVID-34 cure came from his own body, he immediately jumped into medicine and earned a Ph.D. and an MD at the same time. Now, well prepared and with enough allocated to repair what he might lose, he took his final, very deep dive into his immune system. There, he found exactly what he was looking for. The last component of the AMV for ZOVID-34. Until then, he hadn't been able to perfect the vaccine for the virus, and simply had used his raw immune system to cure those already with it, and had decontaminated everyone else. However, with the discovery of this new particle, he would be able to finally be prepared for the virus that had haunted him for years! I'll call it... Hauntapolara, he thought. Appropriate, since this had been the light at the end of each of his haunting dreams.

After further investigation and testing, this particle was confirmed to be the final piece of the puzzle. Among other notable discoveries from the particle, Warren's genetic conundrum was solved. This particle was not inherited, it was created. All of Warren's family had extremely adaptative traits, but only Warren had an adaptative immune system! With this, Warren finally was content, and laid back in his chair for the last time. During his catnap, he passed, and at such a young age! Why was this?
